Peñíscola

We drive on to spend a couple of night just outside of Peñíscola, Spain.
The season in Spain is not yet opened and nothing is really opened just yet.
Heaps of restaurants, shops and hotels are just closed and empty. Usually it’s bursting with people for Easter but now it’s all just closed. A little bit freaky with these ghosts towns but we don’t mind that it’s not crowded. With the Corona virus seeming to spread even further around the world, its nice not to interact with too many people at this point.
Day 2 week took a walk into the  town of Peñíscola, about 4 km further down along the beach walk. A massive fort and old town is situated on the hill by the ocean and dates from the 11th century. On this day the sky was clear blue, sun was shining and we couldn’t resist having our first ever meal since leaving Sweden, on a restaurant at the top of the hill overlooking the ocean and horizon.
