Homeless!

Last week we finally finished packing and cleaning to hand over the Keyes to our new tenants. Both Henrik and I are very happy the move is over and done with....!
But now, meaning we live in a bit of a backpack(s) while finishing up the final details in the motor-home.
Henrik are spending this week at his mums place, close to where we’ve rented a big garage for the motor-home. He is now working on installing 2 new solar-panels (well have 4 in total) and new ilithium batteries(batteries with at lest triple the effect than normal car-batteries) alarm system and rear-side cameras. Once all this is done we’re one step closer to leave for Europe! Our hope is to leave and drive south within 2 weeks from today.

The reason we’ve spent time and money on the batteries and new solar panels is because we want to be able to free-camp as much as possible. Also considering the size of our car we might not always fit into a campsite that has a power outlet. It will also be cheaper for us to check into campsites without power. So it’s basically to litmit costs as well as give us more freedom to park and camp anywhere and still be able to use power for everyday needs such as cooking, lights, charging and shower for example.

At the moment we are very grateful we have two such amazing mums as I’m currently staying with mine in Uppsala for the week with the boys. And Henrik’s staying at his mum focusing on getting the car ready.

If all things go as we hope Henrik will drive the car to Uppsala this weekend, and we can invite family and friends who haven’t seen it for a coffe and saying our last goodbyes before we’re off!
